ALL CLASSES: Our classes are all non-competitive and cooperative. We teach teamwork, body awareness, body appreciation, and dance! All our teachers dress in appropriate attire for movement and select age-appropriate songs and costumes. It is our commitment to protect and nurture the students who walk into our studio.

Fees and Details:
Tuition: All classes are listed by the season’s tuition. All tuition is all-inclusive— all dance attire, ballet shoes, and an end of semester performance opportunity.
Beginning in August 2021, we will be transitioning to what we believe is a more inclusive and person-honoring dress code system. Included in tuition will be a shirt or leotard in the color of your class (to promote a relational and community mindset) and skin-colored tights or black leggings. We at Durango Dance actively reject the prejudiced stereotypes ingrained in much of dance’s classical history. We honor the black, Hispanic, indigenous, and other cultural influences in dance. Dancers are asked to bring their authentic selves to class, and we in turn will honor their culture, identity, and complexities. Dancers who currently own pink tights will be asked to begin moving toward skin-colored tights for class. This is a huge step for the dance community in both Durango and Mancos, and we are very excited to be leading this movement.

Testimonials:
Karen - Outstanding studio! Hands down, both daughters' favorite place to be. And from a mom's perspective, Kristen (director, tap teacher) is a fantastic role model for these dancers. The heart in the logo really does define what sets this studio apart.
